This show originated at WXYZ, Detroit. The first show aired on Feb. 3, 1938 and it's last episode came on Jun. 9, 1955. Jay Micheal played the part of Preston until the mid 1940s. Paul Sutton then picked up the role and stayed as Preston until 1954. Brace Beemer then took over as Preston in 1954 was in the same role until the program ended in 1955. It's interesting to note the Beemer played the Lone Ranger which was also originated at WXYZ. Other's in the cast were John Todd as Inspector Conrad and Frank Russell as a French-Canadian guide. |
